Andrea "Dre" Nichols-Everett, The Exercise Habit Coach, has quickly become one of the most prominent women in health and fitness in Chicago, IL. For over twenty years, Dre has inspired men and women to make up their minds to get fit and stay fit by founding a group fitness boutique that helps her clients fall in love with exercise, so they can make exercise a lifestyle priority.
Early Days:
Dre was born in September 1971 in Blue Island, Illinois, but was raised on the east coast in Meriden, Connecticut.  As a young child, she loved playing outside with her friends, but once she hit high school, she became uninterested in any form of exercise, except dance.  She joined the high school dance team but was mandated, by her father, to join a team sport because he believed she needed to learn how to function as a team player.
Submitting to her father’s request, Dre joined her high school volley ball team in hopes that the exercise component of the practices would be at a minimum. Much to her surprise, the practices were tough, but she was committed to the team to finish the season. Even though she often dreaded the practices, she learned to enjoy the game and the new fit body she developed. But as soon as the season ended, so did her exercise. So did her new fit body.
Dre would continue her disdain for exercise as she started college in 1989, at the University of Virginia. Being away from her father’s watchful eye, Dre slowly began to gain weight and become more and more sedentary. Poor eating habits coupled with an inactive lifestyle caused her to gain an extra 30 pounds by the time she graduated.
After several years of yo-yo dieting and start-stop exercise behavior, Dre finally hit her rock bottom and decided to make a healthy lifestyle change.  She was the largest she had ever been and was extremely uncomfortable in her own skin. So, she decided to change. She planned her transformation and executed her plan. Part of her plan was to become an exercise instructor because she believed that if she could treat her workouts as a part time job, she would have to go. So, in 1999, she became an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor.
Her plan worked.  She loved the results of consistent exercise and fell in love with living a healthy lifestyle so much that she decided to pursue it full time. The future Exercise Habit Coach was created.
D3 Boot Camp Is Born:
Dre opened D3 Boot Camp in May of 2007 because she was sick of “typical” gyms. She wanted to offer an alternative to what gyms provided so that members would feel a sense of community, be positively motivated, and always feel supported. Because it was so difficult for her to make exercise and eating a healthy diet a part her life for so long, the main focus of D3 has always been to help members become consistent with their workouts and nutrition habits so that they can create a permanent healthy lifestyle too.
The D3 Boot Camp company tag line is: Life Changing Fitness For A Made Up Mind, and it has become her personal and professional mantra to define her approach to health and fitness. She teaches that in order to make permanent behavioral lifestyle changes stick, each participant must connect the mental, physical, and nutrition pieces together.  Once this is accomplished, the process of permanent behavior change can begin.
Dre helps her members understand the importance of the mental, physical, and nutrition aspects of a permanent lifestyle change through the D3 Consistency Coaching Programs. These specialized programs provide progress tracking, healthy habit development, behavioral change and accountability coaching for her members.  Consistency Coaching equips her members with the tools they need to finally lose weight and understand how to keep it off.
Dre Goes Online
In order to reach and support more people to a consistent healthy lifestyle, Dre decided to start an online company, The Exercise Habit Coach Online. This online company is the home of her Tribe, The Self Sabotage Slayers, who work and dedicate their efforts to understanding how the subconscious mind works so they do not sabotage their lives and are able to realize their goals and dreams.
The Exercise Habit Coach brand offers online coaching programs and online courses.
Accomplishments and Media:
Dre served as The National Fitness Spokesperson for The American Heart Association from 2009-2017.  She has been featured on the following:  ABC News, Fox 32, WGN, 190 North, Windy City Live, You & Me, N’Digo Magazine, WYCA radio, WVON 1690, WGCI, Windy City Live, The Jam, 1st Impressions Magazine, Jet Magazine, The Red Eye, Chicago Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, and The Chicago Defender in 2 separate editions.
Dre successfully trained Harpo Studio staff for 4 years and was featured in a Tedx Talk on an alternative fitness program, originating in England, called Boogie Bounce in 2018.
